Please read these Terms carefully before using UniPay. By creating a merchant account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
UniPay is operated by Viera Digital Platforms Pty Ltd (ACN 698 942 817), a company incorporated in Australia. In these Terms, "UniPay", "we", "us", and "our" refer to UniPay and the services provided by Viera Digital Platforms Pty Ltd (ACN 698 942 817).
UniPay is a merchant acceptance platform that enables businesses to accept UniCash payments from customers. Merchants receive payments in UNC digital credits and may request AUD bank payouts to their nominated bank account. UniPay is part of the UniCash closed-loop digital credit ecosystem — UNC is not fiat currency, e-money, or stored value.
These Terms apply to all UniPay merchant accounts, including use of the UniPay web app, UniPay mobile app, UniPay Terminal, UniPay POS, and any integrations including WooCommerce, Xero, and MYOB.
To use UniPay you must:
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your UniPay merchant account, including your business name, ABN or registration number, and bank account details for payouts.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your PIN and login credentials and must not share them with anyone. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts where we have reasonable grounds to believe the account is being used for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
All UniPay merchants must complete identity verification before accessing payment acceptance features. Verification is required once and includes identity document review and liveness confirmation.
We may require additional information at any time in connection with our risk-management and fraud-prevention requirements. Failure to provide requested information may result in account restrictions or closure.
Once your account is verified, you may accept UniCash payments from customers via QR invoice, NFC tap-to-pay at a UniPay Terminal, or REST API integration. Payment acceptance is subject to the service rates applicable to your subscription tier.
Payments received are confirmed and cannot be reversed once confirmed. Merchants are responsible for issuing refunds to customers directly where applicable.
A service rate is applied to each UniCash payment you receive. Payouts to your nominated bank account are free. No interchange fees, no card scheme fees, no chargeback costs. Plans are opt-in — no plan is mandatory, and no volume threshold triggers an automatic plan change:
The applicable service rate is deducted from each incoming payment at the time it is received. Your balance always reflects the net amount available for payout. Rates and subscription fees are subject to change with 30 days' notice to existing merchants via email or in-app notification.
You may request an AUD payout to your nominated bank account at any time from within the UniPay app. Payouts are free — you receive exactly your available balance with no further deduction. Processing times for bank payouts depend on your banking institution.
You are responsible for ensuring your nominated bank account details are accurate. We are not liable for payouts delivered to incorrectly nominated accounts.
UniPay Terminal and UniPay POS devices are provided under the terms disclosed at point of sale or lease. You are responsible for the physical security of any hardware assigned to your merchant account. Lost or stolen devices must be reported to us immediately at [email protected].
Hardware must only be used for authorised UniPay merchant activity. Attempting to modify, jailbreak, or tamper with UniPay hardware will void any applicable warranty and may result in account termination.
UniPay supports integrations including WooCommerce, Xero, MYOB, and REST API. Use of any third-party integration is subject to the terms and conditions of that third party. We are not liable for any issues arising from third-party integration services.
You must not use UniPay for:
Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, funds being withheld, and reporting to relevant authorities where required by applicable law.
As a UniPay merchant, you are responsible for:
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to UniPay. The Service may be unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss arising from unavailability of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
We may suspend or terminate your UniPay merchant account with 30 days' notice, or immediately where required by law or where you have violated these Terms. Any outstanding payout balance at the time of termination will be processed to your nominated bank account within a reasonable time, subject to our fraud and risk review procedures.
You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected].
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
